I didn't start behind a desk — I started in the dirt. My first real job was as a laborer for a landscaping company, and eventually I worked my way up to leading crews. I know what it's like to bust your back all day and still have to figure out how to get more work coming in.

I left landscaping and went all-in on video production. I shot everything — travel documentaries, weddings, film and TV sets, commercial shoots. I learned how to tell stories that make people stop and pay attention.

Then I became the Director of Marketing at ForeverLawn KC, where I got to combine the hands-on blue collar world I came from with the marketing skills I'd built. That's where it clicked: most blue collar business owners don't have time to worry about Instagram posts and Facebook ads. They just want the phone to ring.

So in 2025 I started Midyett Media to do exactly that. We handle the video production, the editing, the posting, and the websites — so the business owner can focus on running their business.
